Services
The TAFE Development Centre will provide web-based services for the benefit of all TAFE staff. These services are under development in and more information will be provided when available.
A user-friendly and TAFE-appropriate web-based tool to be used by any TAFE staff member for planning, documenting and profiling individual career development. This service will include access to a well developed conceptual framework for planning ongoing professional growth, and links to high quality information on career planning.
Education qualifications database
A fully maintained and searchable database on the range of nationally and locally recognised and accredited qualifications currently available for teacher development. The database will build on the outcomes of extensive research already undertaken and will be maintained by regular ongoing dialogue with higher education institutions and other providers of qualifications. It will include information on the relationships between different qualifications, any advanced standing arrangements that may apply, and details of the purpose, major content, duration, cost and delivery modes for these qualifications. A fully maintained and searchable database on externally recognised professional standards relevant to occupations and job roles within TAFE Institutes, for roles other than teaching. The database will include links to professional organisations and bodies responsible for creating and maintaining standards.
